Our Ministry

Home

After our arrival in Kenya, we joined forces with my parents to oversee the 5 works that they were working with, and 4 others that we looked after for another missionary. It was a busy time for us, and a rewarding one.
Currently, we are working with 5 Churches and 1 Bible Study. The Bible Baptist Church of Kabati was started by Dad, with a lay pastor doing much of the work. Today, they have their own building, and are doing well. Rev. James Musalia pastors, and along with his wife Phoebe, they have brought the church through the tough times and are almost ready to be independent.

The Bible Baptist Church of Juja was begun as a Bible Study, and I taught there several times during the first days. Today, they are continuing to do the Work of God, supporting their pastor, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Tom Onyango and his wife Lillian are real servants.

Dad started the Bible Baptist Church of Murang’a while I was still at home. The church is in a very tough area, with a lot of animism around, but 27 years later, there is still a beacon in that area. Tobias Nyanjwa and his wife Millicent are staying faithful to God.

In 1995, we started a Bible Study in Karaba, which today has become the Bible Baptist Church of Ngang’a Karaba. This church continues to be a blessing as they grow in the Lord. Patrick Murimi, and his wife Margret, are doing a great job. Patrick was a student in our Bible Institute, and has gone on to serve the Lord in his home church.

The Bible Baptist Church of Thika was begun by Missionary Lonnie Brooks, and then Dad took over. I became the Pastor in 1993, and we have seen some real growth in the members. It has not been an easy time, for them or for me, and Satan has fought this church, but God is still in control, and He will get the victory. We have seen a high attendance of 476, and have seen 1,374 sinners come to know Jesus Christ. The church supports a Kenyan missionary serving in Tanzania, and operates a Christian school. We are in the process of calling a Kenyan to co-pastor with me.

Pray for these great churches and their pastors, the Bible Institute, the Nairobi Baptist Bible College, and the people of Kenya, that they might be “STAMP”ed with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
