Bible Baptist Church in Makongeni, Thika began to meet in 1977, and was organized in September 1978 under the ministry of missionary Lonnie Brooks.  In 1980, Bob Stamper took over the oversight of the young work, and Pastor Joseph Oyugi led the church for more than 10 years.  In 1993, Doug was called to serve as assistant pastor of the church, and then in 1994 became the senior pastor.  The church moved into their new sanctuary in September 1993, and have seen a high attendance of 476 in the years following.  Doug resigned as pastor in 2011, and Rev. Julius Onami was called in May 2012 to pastor the church, and we have seen God’s blessings in his 11 years there.
